The Wild Green Yonder is a memoir of my two-and-a-half year journey around New Zealand as a volunteer on 40 organic farms, orchards, market gardens, communes and other ventures in self-sufficiency. Along the way I met a bevy of diverse characters including the irrepressible Bob L de Berry who has built his own coffin; former Green Party co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons; and frisky animals like Thelma the goat.
