Leonie Pritchard

Leonie Pritchard is a New Zealand writer of fiction and non-fiction exploring resilience, connection, and the emotional complexities of modern relationships.
Her fiction has appeared in Mindfood, including the short story If Wishes Were Horses (Mindfood, October 2024) and The Ripple Effect (Mindfood, July 2025) which won the 2025 Mindfood Short Story Competition.
Leonie is currently working on two major projects: Blended Lives, a non-fiction project about stepfamilies in Aotearoa New Zealand, and The Sigma Variant, a twisty survival novel underpinned by emotional depth and character-driven stakes.
