Rangi Faith
Presently I have retired from teaching to write fulltime. I have written several books - the latest being "Conversation with a Moahunter" (Steele Roberts, 2005). Other books I have written include a teacher resource book on early Maori - "Technology of the Maori" (Curriculum Concepts, 2004)and fishing articles in "NZ Troutfisher". Interests include reading, rugby, tramping, New Zealand art, music, and fishing. Presently, John Denny of Puriri Press in Auckland is printing my latest book "Spoonbill 101". My poetry explores both European and Maori histories, and I have appeared in several recent anthologies and collections. Winner of the Caselberg Trust International Poetry Prize 2024 with the poem 'The Valley Where Compassion Died'.
