I am a New Zealander of Māori descent. A school teacher for 40 years plus. I see everyday in schools the joy of learning through reading. In New Zealand with the introduction of New Zealand Histories to the school curriculum, I have taken the opportunity to share my love of reading, writing and learning with young people through weaving New Zealand historical fact with story telling.
