A fulltime freelance writer my articles and photographs have appeared in many New Zealand newspapers including the NZ Herald, Dominion Post, The Evening Post, The Press, Waikato Times, Manawatu Standard, The Leader, The Hutt News and the Otago Daily Times plus The Straits Times and South China Morning Post overseas. Magazine publications include the New Zealand Listener, NZ Woman’s Weekly, Investigate, New Idea, Wellington Inspired, Lifestyle, Explore Australia, Alfresco, Travel Digest and Grey Power, in New Zealand, Trailfinder and Traveller Magazines in Britain, Going Places, in-flight magazine of Malaysian Airlines, South African Airways newsletter and the Aussie Post. I worked on the Malaysia section of Fodor’s South-East Asia and wrote and updated sections of their South Pacific Cruise Guides. I also worked on ten updates for Fodor’s Guide to NZ, and for their new guide to Tahiti and the Marquesas. I have been on invited press trips to Malaysia, Thailand, Austria, Australia, South Africa and Tahiti. My action novel, ‘In the Lion’s Throat,’ about the drug trade in SE Asia which made the short list in a 2010 competition run by The Crime Writers Association of Great Britain is now available on Amazon.
