Samantha is a recent graduate of Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University’s Master of Creative Writing programme. She has published short stories in New Zealand and the USA. In 2024, she was mentored by Lee Murray under the NZSA CompleteMS Manuscript Assessment Programme, and in 2025 was longlisted for the NZSA Laura Solomon Cuba Press Prize. She has served as Managing Editor for Headland literary journal since 2024.
