Carol Maxwell is a writer and poet based in Blenheim. Throughout her various careers, in New Zealand and Australia, she wrote myriad policies, procedures, strategic business plans, professional development workshops, articles, reports, reports and more reports. Outside hours she wrote poems and creative fiction. Recently relocated from Darwin to Blenheim, she is now free of report writing to work on her first poetry collection. She has been published in several local and international magazines and anthologies, and been a finalist in several writing competitions (ensuring that she continues to bravely wave the flag of aspiration). When she’s not badgering words, she is reading them, gardening, hiking, working in creative fibers and messing about in boats.
