Stephen Dunstan

I am a writer exploring topics in novels where artificial intelligence and how humanity relates to it are central.  It can be both a savior and a threat - perhaps both, depending on how it treats us.  There is a lot to engage with.

I am also exploring how we use and misuse water.  How our relationship to it is central to life, but climate change, intensive farming and how we restrain and redirect rivers makes water now a vulnerable resource, rather than life giving.

I live in a rural town in New Zealand, just over an hour away from the capital city, Wellington.  Sandwiched between the rugged Rimutaka and Tararua Mountain chains.  I have two older children, one very wise but deceitful black Labrador, Zeus, and live with my beautiful partner. After a long career in the public sector I am now writing full-time.
