Sue Reidy

Sue Reidy is author of three internationally published novels and a NZ short story collection. Her first novel The Visitation was a finalist in the Montana NZ Book Awards. She is a former Buddle Findlay Sargeson literary fellow, BNZ Katherine Mansfield short story winner and runner-up in the Sunday Star-Times Short Story Award. Her non-fiction book Small Steps to Happiness was shortlisted in the 2015 Ashton Wylie Book Awards. Her short stories have been anthologised and broadcast on Radio National. Sue’s poetry has been published in numerous literary journals. She has featured in 15 local and three international literary festivals.

Sue holds an masters in creative writing with first-class honours from the University of Auckland. She is a mentor for the NZ Society of Authors. She was an external examiner on the AUT Creative Writing Programme (2009). She is also a manuscript assessor, book reviewer, editor, corporate writer, web content writer and speechwriter.
