A first time Novelist from Wellington. Currently editing the draft of my debut Manuscript "North" which is a meditation on one mans journey through suffering and surrender.

North Synopsis:

The rain has stopped. The world, once thriving, now a desolate wasteland. Man overplayed his hand as God and the fragile world now exists in a constant state of decay. Hope has left the plains like a passing bird, never to return. Yet out of the cracks of despair, exists remnants of what was lost.

Jackson wakes to find his heavily pregnant beloved, gone. She’s been sent to the barren lands of the North on the last working vessel in search of the only doctor left who can bring a child safely into this dying world. Left behind and dying from a slow, creeping illness, Jackson knows he has little time. One chance. One journey. One final promise to keep.

The only thing keeping him alive, is a thin veneer of hope, of seeing his wife again, of meeting his child before the sickness takes his name into the grim roadside graves, that far too many have known.

But the roads are not safe, for devilish men who call themselves the Damned, roam them, with an unquenchable lust for destruction and death. Psychotic cults occupy the dying forests, preaching the death of man as the only salvation. Hunters stalk the mountainsides and the ocean he must cross, is as merciless as the roads he must take.

With the forests dying and the lands infertile, survival becomes the only currency and the abundant world we once knew, has become but a myth, lost in the winds of time.

Jackson must survive the betraying roads long enough, through a journey of desolation and madness, under godless skies, because somewhere beyond the decay, she’s waiting – with his child. And before death takes his name, Jackson must find them.
