A conventional land surveyor by day and maverick writer by night, Wendy especially enjoys writing anything that will make her readers laugh or re-think the way they see their world.

As a regular and longterm contributor for the Kiwi Gardener Magazine, she is now their resident backyard-animal writer, but also covers a variety of other topics, usually with a sense of humour and whimsy. Other articles have been published in New Zealand Author, Style, and New Zealand Fishing News.

Other experience includes creating website/blog content for PenNorth (the NZSA blog) and a community environmental group, as well as creating website content for static commercial websites.

A professional career spanning over 30 years has made her highly competent in writing and reviewing technical reports, in the areas of land development, environmental planning, engineering and business. She has university qualifications in engineering/maths, health and safety, and land surveying, so is not adverse to taking on complicated and technical issues.

Wendy is a freelance writer and is currently working on a new book.
