First up, it has a new name: the Landfall Tauraka Essay Prize. And we’re thrilled that Tina Makereti, a previous winner, will be joining us as a very special guest judge this year!

The winner will receive $3000 and a year’s subscription to Landfall, and the winning essay will be featured in our milestone Landfall 250 issue!

Entries are closing earlier this year so that we can launch Landfall 250 in October. The deadline to enter is 31 May 2025!
