‘Up Flynn Road, across Cook Strait, through the Magellanic Cloud…’ the title of our planned poetry anthology is taken from the poem Meditations upon walking a Dog by Dean Ballinger.
We are looking for unpublished travel poems that take the reader on journeys into the immediate neighbourhood, within New Zealand, overseas but also into imaginative spaces, both finite and infinite.
Submitted poems should be no longer than 25 lines. Please submit in Times or Times New Roman font, with 1.5 spacing between the lines. Please do not submit more than two poems (in a single document). The submitting poet must be the owner of the copyright.

The anthology will be published with boutique publisher Pohutukawa Press in Hamilton.
Authors will receive an author copy and a small present.
Background: Hamilton poet, musician and academic Dean Ballinger suffers from a motor neuron disease (similar to Stephen Hawking). Dean is a member of the Hamilton poetry group Ampersand which will collectively select and edit the poems.
5 dollars of each copy sold will go towards a support fund for Dean.
