Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa Cultural Fund Grant & Award Acknowledgement Guidelines

Recipients must acknowledge the funding received from the Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa Cultural Fund in the imprint of your published work, or equivalent if the funded work is not a book. The acknowledgement should make specific reference to being a recipient of the relevant award or grant and the year the funding was provided. For example, it should read:

  • Recipient of a 2025 Contestable Fund Grant from Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa
  • Recipient of the 2025 Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa/NZSA Writers’ Award from Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa
  • Recipient of a 2025 Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa/NZSA Research Grant from Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa
  • Recipient of a 2025 Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa Partnership Fund Grant from Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa

You’ll find copies of the Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa logo attached. If you require the logo in an alternate format, or would like further guidance on logo placement, please contact awards@copyright.co.nz As a general rule, the logo should be right aligned and should only appear in the approved brand colours or as black and white.

Recipients of funding from the Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa Cultural Fund are expected to acknowledge and include Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa in any PR and media for the project, including its launch. Please let us know your plans for the launch of your project. Where possible, we’d love to attend and support the project launches of Cultural Fund recipient projects. Where appropriate, and particularly if you are a recipient of a Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa/NZSA Writers’ Award, please provide the contact details for, or connect us with, your Project Launch/Campaign Manager.
