Do you whakapapa to one or more Iwi? You can now update this in your NZSA author profile

Kei ngā pītau whakarei o ngā waka huri noa i te motu, herea mai ō koutou waka ki tēnei kaupapa kōrero, tēnā koutou katoa.

Do you whakapapa to one or more Iwi? Please update your iwi affiliations in your Author Profile and go in the draw to win one of 3 x 1yr renewals of your NZSA membership.

This opportunity is open to current NZSA members: Update your info by 11 October 2021 to go in the draw.

New feature in author profile – iwi affiliations

Members are now able to include their ethnicity and iwi in the website Author Profile and can provide the name(s) and/or region(s) of your Iwi (nation or nations).

Please note that when you add ethnicity or iwi info, we do not share it publicly and it will not be displayed in your public OUR WRITER profile – if you do want to share any info that is not publicly displayed, please add into your BLURB space which is further down the page.

To go in the draw for 3 x one year membership renewals:

  • Go to: https://authors.org.nz/my-account/ and login using your username and password
  • Once logged in you will be on your ‘Author Profile’ page where you can update your Iwi affiliations. Take time to also check your other information is correct.
  • make sure to save by clicking on the ‘Update Profile’ button at the top or bottom of the page

For help identifying your Iwi, we have a link to the Te Kāhui Māngai website of Te Puni Kōkiri in the Author Profile (with thanks to Te Puni Kōkiri for developing and allowing us to utilise this resource).

(Here is a link to our ‘How to’ Guide for logging in and managing your profile.)

The info we gather from our membership helps us learn who and where our members are  – this is used to help us reach out to you more effectively and to help us identify who we are when we reach out for funding.
