Come along to Jester House in Tasman on Sunday 20 March at 3pm for the launch of children’s book Rusty the Dusky Dolphin by Rosa Friend. Nibbles and refreshments will be available, and all children are very welcome!

Rosa Friend is an illustrator and designer from Nelson. For the past two years she has been on her OE and doing a variety of art projects along the way.  Prior to that, she graduated with first class honours in Visual Communication Design from Massey University  in Wellington, before travelling to Europe and Asia.  She is currently working in Melbourne as a designer and freelance illustrator.

Her first picture book, Rusty the Dusky Dolphin, is informed by New Zealand’s biodiversity and beauty as she aims to inspire pride in this country’s unique environment. It is published by local publisher Silver Fern Press.

Rosa illustrated Jan Trafford’s picture book Old Rooster and Little Rooster , which will be available for sale at the book launch. Jan’s book is also available  for pre-order or immediate purchase at the ‘book launch’ price of $20.00 by emailing order@silverfernpress.co.nz until 20 March.
