10am – 12pm, Wednesday 14 February 2024
In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn ways to work well with your unique creative brain. Designed for writers who identify as neurodiverse, you’ll share ideas with like-minded people, as we take a strengths-based approach to working with executive function challenges. We’ll explore strategies to help you to: write regularly, work towards a goal, maintain self-care, and increase motivation for avoided tasks.
Steffi is a poet with ADHD, who loves to work with creative neurodiverse people. Their workshops and coaching have helped hundreds of creative and neurodiverse people to make work regularly and get the important admin done. Steffi co-designed, taught and mentored for Creative Waikato’s Creative Careers programme. They were a speaker on Creative Play for Te Ora Auaha’s panel series, and recently shared ADHD study strategies at the Neuroabilities Symposium in Dunedin. Steffi has published three books of poetry, had two solo exhibitions of text art, and is often distracted by the stories that stream off the faces of strangers.
