Dead Bird Book’s will be releasing Dominic Hoey’s new collection of poetry, The Dead Are Always Laughing At Us, in November, 2023.
The book is a special collaboration between Dominic and designer Trudi Hewitt and deals with themes of death, love and dogs. Trudi has done design work for a number of brands and artists, including album artwork for musician Nadia Reid.
To celebrate this release, Dominic will be hitting the road alongside fellow Dead Bird Books poets, Liam Jacobson and Isla Huia (both of whom have recently released their own titles in 2023 to critical acclaim) – as well as smattering of local talent in each centre, including Liz Breslin (Ōtepoti) and Matariki Bennett (Te Whanganui-a-Tara)
The three poets will be performing towns and cities across the North and South Island over the five date tour.
