Being a Happy Self-Publisher

Dave from The CopyPress sees too many self-published authors with boxes of books riddled with errors no one will buy! He is attending our October meeting to give thoughts and tips on how to self-publish books you can sell successfully.

Dave and his wife Philippa, have been running The CopyPress since 2003. Having been very impressed with the vision of the previous owner Dave was able to transfer skills from his years in the communication and process industries to the printing and publishing environment.

For the last few years, Dave has been focussing on community outreach, doing talks on self-publishing throughout the Nelson region and further afield. He is incredibly knowledgeable about self-publishing in New Zealand and has many success stories to share.

Dave is passionate about helping everyday people fulfil the dream of seeing their stories in print. He says seeing the pleasure on the clients’ faces when they see their finished books is one of his greatest rewards. All members welcome.
