Here’s one for poetry lovers! Iggy McGovern, who gathered Christchurch fans when he appeared at the Christchurch Writers’ Festival a few years back, is coming to town next week. Iggy is Fellow Emeritus of Trinity College Dublin. His poetry publications are The King of Suburbia, Safe House, and A Mystic Dream of 4, a poetic  biography of the mathematician & poet, William Rowan Hamilton. Hosted by the Hagley Writers’ Institute, he will be appearing on Tuesday 10 May, The Writers’ Block, Hagley College, at 7pm.
