Seabreeze is hosting the launch of Patricia’s sixth novel. Come and enjoy a glass, nibbles, and friendship. The launch will be approximately one hour. Afterwards, the bar will open for those who wish to stay and enjoy the ambiance.
Storm is an engaging, emotional read. Amber, a 29-year-old archaeologist, returns to her parents’ home in the remote Marlborough Sounds with her debonair lawyer boyfriend, Malcolm. Little does she realise he is an arch manipulator and possibly a killer. All seems well until they arrive at the isolated property to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year. A violent storm washes out the roads, trapping them, and Malcolm’s veneer of rationality erodes. Amber has no idea what is swirling in the vortex of the storm.
