NZSA Auckland Branch is proud to bring you the Literary Lounge Series this June and July.  At the ‘From Page to Stage to Screen’ event,  Screenwriter Kathryn Burnett will interview playwright, novel and screenwriter (The Two Towers) Stephen Sinclair.

Kathryn Burnett is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright and writing coach who has worked in film and television for over 20 years. She is currently on the writing team for an HBO show that is in development and has a tele-feature in development. She has accrued significant television and film credits including the recent TV series – “Fresh Eggs” and “The Cul de Sac.”

 

 

 

 

Stephen Sinclair is an Auckland playwright, screenwriter and novelist. He has over twenty stage plays to his credit including The Bach and The Bellbird, both of which are prescribed texts for drama in New Zealand secondary schools. Also the smash hit stage comedy Ladies Night, co-written with Anthony McCarten, which continues to be performed throughout Australasia, Europe, South America and Canada. His film credits include the Peter Jackson films Meet The Feebles, Braindead and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. His children’s novel Thief of Colours is currently being adapted for the screen by Oscar nominated screen writer Paul Tamasy.
