Shirin Brown’s new comedic play My AI Twin, puts a political twist on the use of AI, which is infiltrating so many aspects of our lives. The story follows Xan, who is standing for the mayoralty of her city but, overwhelmed by the demands of campaigning in a world dominated by social media, she uses an AI Twin. Of course there are unintended consequences!
The play explores the challenges of standing for election, particularly as a woman, the ethics of using AI and digital twins, and the pressures of campaigning in an age of social media. Premiering at the Basement, 29th to the 2nd of August, tickets from iTicket. https://www.iticket.co.nz/events/2025/jul/my-ai-twin?view=info
