Radio New Zealand – submissions for on-air review to Booksellers NZ

2026 SUBMISSIONS FOR RADIO NEW ZEALAND NINE TO NOON

 

Authors who are publishing books in 2026 and who wish to be considered for potential review on Radio New Zealand National’s Nine to Noon programme should please get in touch with Sarah Taggart at Booksellers Aotearoa NZ.

Requests for submissions of February 2006 titles will go out in December 2025. Please email Sarah on sarah@booksellers.co.nz to be added to the distribution list for this request.

Sarah will email out instructions for submitting titles, including a link to a form that must be completed. This form asks for the complete book information as well as supplementary marketing material, including advance title information sheets.

Reviews are broadcast daily at approximately 10:35am. Author interviews are often broadcast before the book review from about 10.00am. The Nine to Noon team will contact you directly if they wish to organise an author interview.

  1. In submitting books please ensure they fall within the following criteria:
  • Nine to Noon are looking for variety, quality and uniqueness. Please do not submit reprints or new editions (unless they have been substantially changed).
  • There must be sufficient copies of the books available throughout the country so that listeners are able to purchase copies easily.
  • Not all titles submitted will be reviewed. Some titles may be held over for review in a later month, and re-submissions are allowed, though be aware that a re-submission incurs a second fee.
  1. The submissions are collated and forwarded to Radio New Zealand for selection. Booksellers Aotearoa NZ is not involved in the selection process.
  2. The administration cost for each title submitted is:
  • $22.50+GST for NZ titles
  • $30+GST for international titles

An invoice will be sent to you following receipt of your submission.

  1. If any of your titles are selected for review, we will ask for two copies of each title to be sent to us for forwarding to the reviewer and interviewer. Please consider the availability of review copies when timing the submission of your title(s).

Please do not submit books directly to Radio New Zealand. All books and submission forms are required to be sent to Booksellers.
