RICHMOND WRITING GROUP: AUTHOR TALK – CLIFF FELL

The Richmond Writing Group is for adults with an interest in writing – whether you’re just thinking about starting to write something, you’re a published author, or somewhere in between. The group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, 1 – 3 pm, in the Constance Barnicoat Room at Richmond Library. It’s a great opportunity to meet other people with a shared interest in writing, and to put pen to paper.

Each month there is a guest speaker in the first hour, followed by writing or discussion for those who wish to stay on. The next meeting on Tuesday 20 November features local poet and author Cliff Fell.

Cliff is an award-winning poet and author of three books of poems, The Adulterer’s Bible (2003), Beauty of the Badlands (2008) and The Good Husbandwoman’s Alphabet (2014). His poems have appeared in the annual online anthology Best New Zealand Poems, and in various national and overseas publications. Between 2009 and 2016 he was the poetry correspondent on the RNZ national Radio Nights programme.

Cliff is not only a talented writer but a fun and entertaining speaker. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear him talk about his books and writing process.
