Open to residents of Australia and New Zealand, the prize is for short stories up to 3,000 words having an island, or island-resonant, theme. The competition, now entering its seventh year, is run by Forty South Publishing, the largest book publisher in Tasmania and publisher of the prestigious Tasmania 40°South magazine.
