Scott Bainbridge – Murder by death; an introduction to writing true crime

Do you want to become a true crime author but don’t know where to start? In this workshop, you will learn how and where to gather the resources you need to start your research.

Then we will explore how to bring everything together and consider all angles of a case to write a tight and informative chapter or book.

Scott Bainbridge is one of NZs foremost investigative and true crime authors. His first two books, Without Trace and Still Missing about missing persons led to covering well-known missing person led to two cold cases being re-opened, and inspired the acclaimed TVNZ series, The Missing. Bainbridge has written ten books and has been a finalist for the Ngaio Marsh Awards for true crime three times, including this year. In addition to his books, Bainbridge writes crime stories for North & South and was involved in the production of the televsion series Trouble with Murder, and Black Coast Vanishings. He is ooften called upon by the media to discuss old missing person cases.
