WRITERS AT LUNCHTIME AT NEW VENUE

The first Writers at Lunchtime meeting of 2022 takes place on Wednesday 2 February, 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. Instead of having a speaker, this will be an open mike event, giving everyone the chance to introduce themselves and what they do.

Copies of Horizons 5 will be available to purchase at the meeting for $25. CASH SALES ONLY. Published by NZSA Top of the South branch, this anthology contains the winning and shortlisted stories from the 2020 and 2021 Page & Blackmore Short Story Competitions, plus poems that appeared in Page & Blackmore’s window as part of the ‘Poem in the Window’ scheme. Copies of previous anthologies Horizons 4 (published 2019) and Horizons 3 (2017) will also be available for a koha/ donation.

Unfortunately, the former venue, the Little Acorn Café, is no longer available. The new venue is Nelson Golf Club at 38 Bolt Road, Tahunanui. The café is upstairs but there is a small cargo lift that can be used to reach it. PLEASE NOTE: Everyone must be double vaccinated and have a vaccination certificate. If you do not have these, you will not be able to enter the building. Food (both cooked and cabinet) and drinks are available and must be paid for when ordering.
