The next round of Foundation Research Grants opens on 1 September. The programme offers grants of up to $5,000 to support international travel and fieldwork for researchers undertaking contemporary, forward-looking projects in Asia.
We are looking for research projects that help grow New Zealand’s understanding of Asia in key policy areas, such as:
- regional and international trade
- defence and security
- cyber, technology and innovation
- politics, public policy and urban development
- environment and climate change
- international relations, law and diplomacy.
There are two application rounds each year. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or New Zealand permanent residents.
