The New Books Bulletin, showcases NZSA members published writing in the quarter of their release.
Current members of the New Zealand Society of Authors can submit one book per monthly issue.
Information submitted to the New Books Bulletin must be correct and proofed. Please check before submitting.
Deadlines for 2024 submissions
Deadlines are for the following month’s issue, which comes out at the beginning of that month.

- 26 February
- 23 March
- 27 April
- 26 May
- 23 June
- 28 July
- 25 August
- 22 September
- 27 October
- 24 November
Before filling out the form, have ready:
- JPG, or PNG image: The book’s front cover only. (File size should be under 1mb.)
- Blurb: A brief paragraph about the book. (270 characters max (including spaces)
- Publication date: for new books published within the quarter of their release
- Publisher / Imprint name
- ISBN number
- RRP recommended retail price
- Website: HTML link for book purchase. Can be author website, Publisher website. online purchase site such as Fishpond, Amazon etc
NB: when you have sent your submission to new books, you receive a confirmation that says Thanks for submitting your latest book to the New Books Bulletin. Your book will be added to the next New Books Bulletin in which your book is available for purchase. You will also receive an email copy of your submission. If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folder.
