NZ Author – Spring 2022 – Issue 330 is out!

In this edition we chat to Emma Sidnam, winner of the 2022 Michael Gifkins Prize, for her novel Backwaters; as well as Paula Browning as she reflects about her time at CLNZ. And we’re still on the road with our Regional Roadshow for local writers!

What a great NZSA Roadshow we had in Tāmaki Makaurau recently with its inspiring speakers and sense of collegiality. One of the participants on leaving said she was “buzzing”. Such events are a valuable opportunity to meet with other like-minded people and soak up the writing vibe. As practitioners, we are often working alone in a bubble, so these professional development events are a chance to fill up the kete,” said Editor Tina Shaw.
