After the concerning news broke that Whitireia’s publishing programme was at risk of not continuing without substantial industry support – PANZ swung into action. We updated all of our members on the events taking place, meetings were held with Whitireia, and we asked our members if anyone would be willing to join a working group. The response was heartening with a mix of senior industry members and new voices answering the call for support. The purpose of the group is to act as a sounding board and support network for PANZ staff and Council members.

Mel Laville Moore – Allen and Unwin.

The group met for the first time at the end of last week and we identified that the next steps are to meet with Whitireia again, to explore venue locations, and undertake a feasibility study.
