Congratulations to Stacy Gregg!

The Fire Stallion by Stacy Gregg (published by Harper Collins) was announced on TVNZ2 on Sunday 14th April as the Storylines Kids’ Pick of the Storylines Junior Fiction Notable Books on What Now. The response to the competition was ‘unprecedented’ according to the What Now producers.
 
Lyla by Fleur Beale (Allen & Unwin) and Broken Poppies by Des Hunt (Scholastic) were the second and third ‘Kids’ Picks’, respectively.  

A lucky draw of individual and class voters resulted in a set of the Storylines Junior Fiction Notable Books being won by Owhata School in Rotorua and Cobden School in Greymouth.

The reviews by students at Halswell School in Christchurch are on the What Now website until the end of the April school holidays .
