SECONDARY SCHOOL BOOKLIST – NZ Books

Students benefit from reading local stories set in their own landscape

NZSA and NZBC have prepared this list for teachers with links to teachers notes, that are appropriate for use in the classroom. NCEA examiners bemoan the lack of local content, so this link, with resources, reading ages and themes will give our schools an annual GO TO list of what is in print.

This link has been shared by the NZ English Teacher’s Association as a free resource on their website and is launched this month in the April issue of the NZATE on-line journal. It is also available on the New Zealand Book Council website along with all the information on their Writers in Schools programme. It can also be found on the advocacy page of this NZSA website.https://authors.org.nz/about/advocacy-issues/
