Caroline Barron is an award-winning writer, avid reader, manuscript consultant, book reviewer, and was on the board of the Michael King Writers Centre from 2016-2021—giving her a 360-degree view of both the literature industry and current publishing trends. Her debut book Ripiro Beach: A Memoir of LIfe After Near Death (Bateman, June 2020) won the 2020 New Zealand Heritage LIterary Award for Best Non-fiction Book. She has a Masters in Creative Writing (University of Auckland) and a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism (AUT).
