Hachette Mentorship Programme – apply between 10 Oct and 13 Nov

Writers! An opportunity to be mentored by a publisherHachette logo 2

The New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc), in association with Hachette Australia, are once again offering the opportunity for one writer to work on a new draft of their completed manuscript under the mentorship of Hachette Australia.

Now in its second year, this initiative is for writers of fiction, non-fiction or young adult fiction who have progressed a manuscript beyond first draft, but require the objective view of an experienced publisher to provide constructive critiquing for that manuscript.

The mentorship will be personalised for the selected candidate, and will run through 2017.

The selected manuscript may be considered by Hachette for publication within 6 months of delivery of a new draft of the manuscript, but publication is not guaranteed.

Terms and conditions and application form are available now on our website.

This program is presented by Hachette Australia in partnership with The New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc.)

Open for applications from 10 October until midnight 13 November.
